Nicki Minaj atau Onika Tanya Maraj dikenal sebagai artis hip hop yang dilahirkan di Trinidad dan Tobago. Minajlahir pada 8 Desember 1984 dari orang tua yang berdarah Indian dan Afro-Trinidad. Ia tinggal di Saint James, Trinidad and Tobago dengan neneknya hingga usia lima tahun.
